Hello! I'm a lecturer in the English department at City College of New York (CCNY), where I also serve as the undergraduate English advisor, director of the undergraduate certificate in language, writing, and rhetoric, and assistant director of the first-year writing program. I received my PhD in English with a concentration in LGBTQ+ studies in 2024 from the CUNY Graduate Center.
My dissertation was about bisexual TikTok, and now I’m studying labor movement rhetoric, with a forthcoming book chapter about legacies of rhetorical theory that condition rhetoricians away from collective rhetorical modes of and for class struggle. You can probably find me on Twitter talking about higher ed union organizing or my favorite TV shows.
The “blog” page mainly consists of reading notes from my PhD exams and a handful of texts I’ve read since then. I find it useful to keep an archive that doesn’t get immediately lost in Google Drive, and maybe others will also find my pullquotes handy. But I’ve also used the blog for reflections on my writing process and about Star Wars and Doctor Who. We’ll see how the blog continues to evolve.
